About Nimbus

Nimbus started with a straightforward frustration: after years of long-haul flights and trying every travel pillow available, the result was always the same. Landing stiff, tired, and wondering why none of them actually worked.

I'm Justin, based in Gainesville, GA. I work in technology sales, which puts me on international flights several times a year. That frequency made the problem impossible to ignore.

The issue wasn't lack of options. It was that most travel pillows are designed to feel comfortable when you're already awake and holding your own head up, exactly when your neck muscles don't need help. What they fail to solve is what happens the moment you fall asleep: your head drops forward, your neck stays partially engaged to catch it, and hours of rest produce the exhaustion of having barely slept at all.

Building something better took longer than expected. We tested multiple foam types and construction methods, working to find a design that held its shape under real head weight, adapted when you shifted positions, and worked comfortably across different body types. The hard case came from a simple observation: a pillow that gets crushed in your bag loses its structure, and with it, the support that made it worth carrying.

Nimbus launched in early 2026. One product, built to do one thing well.
